Random moments from the past week.

Picture of the fjord Karen took on her walk in the woods today.
Life is happening so quickly. It seems I can't keep up with it sometimes, but it is amazing. My friend Miroslava always says "Today is the best day of my life," everyday. She has an amazing spirit and I am going to greet everyday this same way. We heard about the car accident involving five Alagers in Switzerland. One boy is seriously injured. Our prayers are with him as we await news of his progress. It has struck many of us, as it often does in such cases, just how short our time here is. While I pray for him, I also see that I must take each and every moment of my life to be wholly and completely faithful.
Saying goodbye to Tabea!

I just got back from the youth meeting. I feel so full and so empty at the same time. I am so sick of myself, my life, my will! It is so persistent! But I know I can do it, I know I can! Satan cannot lie to me, he can not convince me of the lie; namely that it is not possible for me. I know the truth, he knows it too, but he will deny it to the end and try to make a many people as possible believe a lie. But I will NOT be one of those people. Tonight Vern read in Joshua 14:12 "Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said." Vern asked what was the mountain in our lives, pride, lust of the eyes etc.? I had to take a good look at myself and see the truth. What was the mountain in my life that, until now I have just not been able to believe it could be removed.  But the Lord has promised, and He CANNOT lie, so it must be so. That mountain WILL be removed. I am so thankful for this and I know God can help me to be faithful everyday and each moment of each day. I am so happy.

Anne-Marie, Daniela, and Elizabeth just left for France for five days earlier today. I hope they have tons of fun. Can't wait until my first trip! So many things have happened over the past week. We had a birthday party for Anne-Marie which was total fun. This past weekend was the Brunstad Feast in Hamar. Most of Alag traveled to different places to watch it. Some stayed on Brunstad and went to Tønsberg to watch it. Some of the English speaking girls went to Miriam's place to watch it with Val Twiley. It was so nice. Learned a lot about the predatory habits of orcas....don't ask! JK While we were waiting for the feast to start we watched a little Discovery Channel. Then we had homemade pizza and brownies and took a walk down to the pier in the moonlight and starlight. It was absolutely beautiful, the deep velvety blue of the night sky and water broken by stark white starlight. Oops! Excuse that, the writing bug seems to be biting again.

The Brother's Conference here at Brunstad is edging closer and closer. I can't wait to see Ryan, Mere and Joannie. I am super excited. 8 DAYS!!!

Our guitar for practicing - we are so proud of it!
